Gospel Music Archive

The Louisville Story Program worked with dozens of people in the local gospel music community to locate, digitize, and preserve hundreds of gospel recordings for their latest project "I'm Glad About It." They developed a book documenting the legacies of the people and communities, released a CD box set, 2xLP vinyl album, and asked me to help them develop an online digital archive of the music, photos, and videos from this community.

I worked closely with them to design an archive making accessible the hundreds of recordings, photos, and videos of the Louisville Black gospel music community. The site features a timeline of Louisville's gospel music recordings, along with a searchable and indexed archive of the music, photos, videos, and documents from the 1950's through today.

Louisville Story Program

The Louisville Story Program partners with communities in Louisville who are misrepresented or underrepresented in the public discourse to document their stories in their own words and images.

They needed a website to help amplify those voices and share their stories. To support their mission, they also needed the ability to solicit volunteers, accept donations, and sell the products of their projects.

I worked closely with them to design a site to reflect the organization’s mission and values. I then built the site from those designs and backed it with a powerful content management system to allow them to maintain and update the site with ease.

Yrdstick: Pre & Post Testing

After earning a Masters in Education and working with some educational non-profits, I became interested in learning outcomes and measurement. I created Yrdstick, an online pre- and post-testing platform, to offer a simple tool for measuring learning outcomes.

The service offers free and paid accounts to evaluate program effectiveness, measure attitudinal changes, and document learning outcomes.

Great Outdoor Vacations

Great Outdoor Vacations approached me with the idea to create a platform to connect outdoor enthusiasts with destination properties.

The goal was to create a community of nationwide outdoor vacation destinations, connecting property owners and customers; allowing people to search all variety of outdoor destinations and activities—whether camping, cabins, or spending the day on the water—all in one place.

The platform provided search, favorites, and online reservations for individuals. For property owners, it offered a platform to list and book their offerings, handling all aspects of reservation booking and payment processing.

Process Mapping, Strategy, & Print Design

UPS LOOP Program

UPS wanted to simplify and clarify the onboarding process for their LOOP program. The program offered amazing benefits but required a somewhat complex, multi-step process involving multiple parties.

I began by interviewing stakeholders and other UPS staff. We then worked collaboratively to process map the onboarding requirements. Using the output of this work, I designed a step-by-step print piece to guide prospective participants through the onboarding process.
